Hailing from the Canary Islands, Ilya Santana has become a cult figure in the world of cosmic disco, Balearic grooves, and synth-driven dance music. Blending melodic nostalgia with hypnotic club energy, his sound channels the spirit of Italo disco, spacey house, and sunset psychedelia—earning releases and remixes on labels like Eskimo, Permanent Vacation, and Hooj Choons… And now Discolypso!

This release is layered with complexity and charged with deep energy.

Kicking off with Tempest, we are invited on a sinister, mysterious and trancey journey—the scene is set. The Bonus surprise is a remixed version by the very best Rayko, twisting the track into a more post-punk dimension.

Illusions of Tomorrow, with its driving rhythm, Italo synth melodies and chugging basslines, represents what we love and revere about Indie Dance music.

Ignition is a quintessentially cosmic track, uniting african drum lines with synth-infused moments that quietly build into a big and heavy dancefloor filler.
